, Courtney Kuhns, MS, LCPC, CADC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with several years of experience working with clients to overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & loss, women’s issues, family challenges, major life transitions, addictions and co-occurring issues. I have been a community provider of mental health services in the Naperville, IL community for many years in a multitude of mental wellness settings.
I most often work with individuals (ages 12+) and families struggling with a range of personal and interpersonal growth challenges. I am trained in other areas as well. Through a holistic perspective and use of compassion, empathy, and empowerment, I help clients conquer issues that may initially appear insurmountable.
I practice from an integrative perspective, often taking pieces from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I view therapy as a collaborative and comfortable relationship that fosters growth and wellness. Growth can occur with your willingness to meet your own personal and interpersonal goals!
