Christina (she, her, hers) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor whose work focuses mainly on adolescents and young adults. Her primary focus lies with teens and young adults who are working to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, major life events, adjustments/transitions, and more. She believes in working collaboratively with clients to reach their goals, enhancing the strengths and skills my clients currently hold while developing new ways of coping. In therapy, Christina is always mindful of providing a space for client centered, LGBTQ-affirming, trauma-informed care using empathy, open communication, humor, and intentional relationship building to foster meaningful conversations in the therapy room.
In therapy, Christina tries to zoom out from clients’ day-to-day experiences to explore patterns, root causes, and systemic impacts related to current symptoms. Because we each navigate our world looking through our own unique lens, treatment for identical symptoms can look different for each person. She values feedback from clients and hopes to build a space that feels supportive to each of their specific needs. Each client is the expert in their own life, and she encourages clients to be active participants in driving the direction of therapy.
She works from varied theoretical perspectives including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Christina hopes to walk alongside her clients and their families, encouraging and supporting them as they confront life’s challenges and take new steps forward.
