My name is Dana (she, her, hers). I am a Licensed Social Worker with experience working with individuals, families and couples navigating a range of obstacles that may be getting in the way of personal or interpersonal peace. For individual therapy, I work with ages 12+. My experience working with these populations has been ascertained through working with clients across these age groups as well as rigorous training. I have also worked in the school system focusing on assisting at-risk youth and their families.
I work with families, adolescents and couples to build relationships and foster trust. Specifically, those who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, behavior challenges, blended families, trauma and interpersonal relationship challenges. I understand very deeply that trust is often earned and not willfully given. With that, I believe people, in general, want to be heard and understood and the best way to support that is to let them speak and listen intently. As such, I primarily utilize Psychodynamic psychotherapy which focuses on identifying psychological roots through self-reflection and self-examination.
I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges to gain a better understanding of themselves. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Attachment and Psychodynamic therapy, which allows clients to better understand the psychological roots associated with their struggles. Additionally, I am passionate about wellness and believe the mind and body are deeply intertwined. I work with individuals and couples experiencing life changes, infertility, pre-partum, and post-partum depression and anxiety as well as those feeling alone, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, and burnt out. I am committed to providing empathetic and personalized support to help my clients achieve holistic well-being.
On a personal level I am a very active human and believe good food and exercise are what keep me grounded.
