Dr. Erica Carter (she/her/hers) is an experienced counselor specializing in working with individual individuals 18+, couples and families. Her scope of practice includes treatment for anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, parent-child relationships, stress management, and life transitions.

Dr. Erica Carter (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working with individual individuals 18+, couples and families. She holds a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree in Advanced Studies in Psychotherapy and Counseling and Advanced Certificate in Self-Psychology. She has provided therapy in various clinical settings including, community mental health, residential, and private practice; and her scope of practice includes treatment for anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, parent-child relationships, stress management, and life transitions.

Dr. Carter believes that building a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation to helping individuals overcome their challenges and improve their well-being. Through support, empathy, compassion, and trust, she seeks to foster a sense of hope and healing, and empower her clients to discover their inner strengths. Her approach integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities including, Client-Centered, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. While Dr. Carter’s treatment is clinical in nature, her doctoral research, 17+ years of ministerial experience, and theological education allows her to integrate spirituality for those who are seeking a faith-based approach to treatment
