My name is Jason and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I earned my Masters in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
I have worked within a number of different settings, including the adult justice system, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and community mental health clinics, which has given me the opportunity to work with people who struggle with a wide variety of mental health issues. Specifically, I specialize in helping individuals ages 12 and up who struggle with depression, life transitions, mood disorders, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger management, trauma, psychosis, and interpersonal conflict.
I am experienced in providing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. While I tend to integrate these practices, I understand that every client has a unique set of needs, and therefore, also adhere to other modalities in order to provide a more tailored approach to therapy. Regardless of the type of treatment provided, I firmly believe that taking a team-oriented approach to therapy gives the best chance for us to reach our desired outcomes.
As a therapist, I aim to build genuine relationships with my clients and provide a safe space for them to speak freely with the use of unconditional support and positive regard. My primary objectives for my clients are to empower them to take ownership of their lives and guide them on a path towards self-fulfillment and growth!
