Dr. Julie Young is a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in psychology. She trained as a generalist providing services to a broad range of ages and psychological presentations. Dr. Young has many years of experience and specialized training and professional experience with a range of mental wellness challenges. She approaches the psychological and neuro-psychological assessment process from a client-centered perspective where assessment findings are always tied to a treatment plan that suits the needs of each unique client.
Dr. Young provides full psychological and neuro-psychological assessments. She enjoys puzzles by nature, and her passion is collecting data, synthesizing the findings, and putting them together in a comprehensive report that can support that individual’s healing or insight.Dr. Young's goal is for clients to always come away with a better understanding of themselves, better education about their diagnoses or mental wellness challenge, and a solid treatment plan that gives them hope. Above all, her clients walk away with much needed answers that guide them to seek the treatment needed for better functioning. Dr. Young is very relatable in general and has an easy-going approach that can usually make the assessment process as stress free as possible.
In her free time, she tries her best to tackle parenting of an elementary school-aged child. His extracurriculars keep her busy, but she would not have it any other way. For self-care, Dr. Young enjoys walking, singing, watching live or televised sports, especially hockey, and spending time with friends and family.
