Katy (she/her/hers) is an EMDR certified Licenced Professional Counselor who is a firm believer that everyone has the ability to make positive changes in their lives and engage more intentionally with what is most important to them. In therapy, I offer a safe space for clients to set goals for themselves and explore the events that have shaped their lives while building upon the individual strengths they already have.

By working from an Existential-Humanistic framework that incorporates DBT, Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Trauma-Informed and Somatic approaches, as well as perspectives rooted in Social Justice and multicultural awareness, our work together can be tailored to your specific goals.

I am passionate about working with individuals and couples ages 18+ who are looking to make meaningful changes in their lives but may be struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, body image, substance use, PTSD, ADHD, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), life transitions, relationship issues, Women’s issues, and those navigating times grief/loss, illness, or trauma. In addition to my clinical therapy experience, I have a robust background in the expressive arts – theater, music, and visual art –  that helps me connect with my clients through a variety of mediums. Along those lines, I do believe self-expression and humor are connectors for the clients I serve. I view therapy as a collaborative and comfortable relationship that fosters growth, awareness, and respect for my clients’ unique experiences.
