Sydney (she/her/hers) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, is a qualified mental health professional with experience working with diverse populations and has experience in crisis stabilization in the inpatient setting. She has worked with many mental health challenges ranging from depression, anxiety, social anxiety, bipolar and mood disorders, substance use, life transitions, relationship counseling, suicidal ideation and more.
Sydney has always had a love for helping others realize their potential and for being an individual who is always there to listen and provide support. Sydney feels as though her personal experiences in life aid in her understanding and empathy towards others and has led her to demonstrate an unbiased perspective in the therapeutic setting.
Sydney’s main approach when working with clients is to take a person-centered approach in which she works hand in hand with the individual to determine what may be right for them. Some theoretical approaches Sydney finds interest in and utilizes are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychoanalytic approaches, and an emphasizes on mindfulness practices. Sydney believes in somatic experiences and wants to work with individuals to identify skills that would aid them in relieving physical and emotional feelings they may be experiencing.
In her free time, Sydney enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys rollerblading and art projects as a hobby to fill her free time.
