My name is Will Doiron (he, him, his) and I am a Therapist with several years of experience working with children, teenagers, and young adults in a private practice setting. I have worked with clients experiencing a variety of life challenges including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, behavioral issues, emotional regulation, school related issues, and difficult life transitions. I attended Benedictine University for both my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.
In my approach to counseling, I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Client’s are coming into therapy often addressing some of the most difficult challenges of their lives. It takes a trusting and compassionate relationship to serve as the foundation to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. I often utilize humor in sessions to help aid in this process as well as taking the time to get to know my clients on a personal level through their hobbies and interests. I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client while often utilizing techniques from Client Centered Therapy, CBT, art therapy, play therapy, strengths based, and solution focused therapy.
In my free time I enjoy watching sports, playing in a softball league, cooking, spending time with my partner and family, video games, camping, and hanging out with my two pets. I look forward to joining you on your therapeutic journey and creating a safe space for you to achieve your goals!
